Abhimanyu Easwaran has been named India A skipper for the second and third unofficial Test matches against England Lions. Easwaran is currently leading the side against Egland Lions in Ahmedabad. The second and third matches will be played at the same venue on 24 January and 1 February respectively.

Kumar Kushagra, who was snapped up by Delhi Capitals for Rs 7.20 crore at the IPL 2024 player auction in Dubai in December, has also made the squad for the two matches. The likes of Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Sai Sudharsan and Rajat Patidar, who have all made their senior India debuts over the last few months, also feature in the squad.

On Day three of the first unofficial Test, India A were 159/4 with Sai Sudharsan (53*) and Manav Suthar (1*) unbeaten. They have been set a target of 490 with just one day of play left in the game.
