The India vs Pakistan Super Four clash in the 2023 Asia Cup in Colombo had to be moved to a reserve day after torrential rain interrupted play at the R Premadasa Stadium.

India were 147/2 from 24.1 overs after having been asked to bat, when the rain came down pouring. What followed was more than three hours of excruciating wait despite a small hope that play would resume when there was no rain for a brief period.

The match, however, will resume on Monday, which is the reserve day for the game. Earlier, the Asian Cricket Council had announced the India vs Pakistan clash would be the only one in the Super Four stage to have a reserve day, after the group stage encounter between the two teams was also washed out.

The full 50 overs will be played on Monday, should the weather permit.

Many were frustrated with the rain delay on Sunday and took to social media platform X (Formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts.
