Day 1 report: India were comfortably placed at 132 for one when rain brought an early end to the opening day's play in the pink-ball Test against Australia here on Thursday.
Smriti Mandhana was batting on a sublime 80 and Punam Raut was unbeaten on 16 when stumps were called on the first day.

India were 101 for 1 at the dinner break on the opening day of their one-off Day/Night Test, after which lightning delayed the start of play for a while.

The Australian team's decision to field first after laying a green strip for the visitors did seem to have backfired as Mandhana attacked them straightaway during the first hour of play.

There were an astounding 16 boundaries hit in the first 16 overs, mostly by Mandhana and few by Shafali as Meg Lanning did shuffle around with his bowlers without much success.

In fact, it was a case of role reversal which perhaps caught the Australians off-guard as Shafali was more intent on playing a defensive game while her senior partner attacked with great gusto.

Debutant Darcie Brown got some special punishment as Mandhana hit her for a number of boundaries both on the off-side as well as a few whip shots on the leg-side.

Ellyse Perry also took a few overs to find the right length. The elegant Indian left-hander reached her run-a-ball fifty in no time with a cover drive of McGrath.

Whenever Mandhana bisected between point and cover or cover or mid-off, it was the most pleasant sight.

Her first 51 runs came off 50 deliveries and the next 29 off 94 while Raut also played her customary defensive game. A total of 300 plus will certainly keep India firmly in the game.

23:28 (IST)

That's all for today. Hope you have enjoyed the match and our coverage. We'll see you tomorrow for yet another day of IPL action.

23:26 (IST)

Josh Hazlewood is the player of the match

"I put in a lot of hardwork and learnt a lot every game. It's hard to learn since there's a different team every game, but it's satisfying. Getting Roy was a big wicket, and it was good to put the pressure back on them early. The wicket offered a little bit, it was on the slower side and a little low as well. We are happy we are applying whatever we are doing in the practice. It's good to learn from DJ Bravo over the last few weeks too, and it's been a great learning curve for me."

23:24 (IST)

MS Dhoni: Of course means a lot(qualifying for play-offs). In the last post match presentation, I had said, we want to come strong. It was emotional. A lot of things didn't go our way. What's important is you don't give excuses and that's what we have done. The boys have taken responsibility when it comes to batting, bowling and fitness. The players and support staff deserve the credit. The bounce of wicket was very different, something that should come to knee height was coming to shin height. So the batsmen adjusted to hitting it straight. The bowlers did well with their variations. As a bowling unit, they bowled the right length. I can proudly say on behalf of CSK that we are really proud of the fans.

23:16 (IST)

Du Plessis: (On his dismissal) Bad execution and not enough dry gloves, I am going to bring more gloves next game. I did work before the tournament to make sure I could run and I love doing it, don't want to miss the catches, love doing the donkey work of running from long-on to long-off. The balance of our team has been very good this year. We've been batting aggressively and we bat long so there are batters coming out even if we lose wickets. With the ball Moeen has been a good addition as well. We've got Jadeja who bowls in the middle. But it's the balance of the side that has been crucial.

23:08 (IST)

Kane Williamson: "Not enough runs. We were still competitive. It was fantastic, and it is important we keep bringing that. The cameos from boys in the lower-middle order gave us something so we need to look at how to win games. It is hard when you end up on the losing side. Chennai played really well. It looked challenging and variable, and in the end if you can inch out another 10-15 runs."

23:07 (IST)

And with this win, CSK have officially qualified for the playoffs. SRH are completely out of the top four race.

CSK endured a difficult last season but they got things right in 2021. Dhoni was struggling but today's knock with give him a lot of confidence.

23:02 (IST)

CSK win by six wickets!

Siddarth Kaul starts off with a good bouncer, it's one for the over. Rayudu then takes a single. Dhoni is on strike, two needed from four balls. Dhoni doesn't get the timing right on his shot and it is straight to the fielder at short mid-wicket. Still two runs needed from three balls. Sid Kaul comes round the wicket and Dhoni finishes it off in style. A huge six over deep mid-wicket.

22:58 (IST)

After 19 overs,Chennai Super Kings 132/4 ( Ambati Rayudu 16 , MS Dhoni (C) (W) 8)

Bhuvi to bowl the penultimate over. Dhoni takes a single off the first ball. The bowler misses his length in the next ball and Rayudu takes advantage by smashing a six. Dhoni also gets a freebie in the form of a short ball and he dispatches it for a four. Two dots to end the over, CSK need three runs from last six balls.

22:56 (IST)

Dhoni this time. Short ball by Bhuvi, Dhoni swings his bat hard and it goes to the deep mid-wicket boundary.

22:54 (IST)

Lovely! Length ball by Bhuvi, Rayudu smashes it over deep mid-wicket.

22:53 (IST)

After 18 overs,Chennai Super Kings 119/4 ( Ambati Rayudu 9 , MS Dhoni (C) (W) 3)

Siddarth Kaul into the attack. Rayudu gets off strike with a push down to deep point. The pacer bowls a tight line to MSD who hits two shots straight to the mid-off fielder. A big shot around the corner? MSD sends it in the air, Jason Roy at cover comes up with a terrific effort for the catch. His right hand reaches the ball but it doesn't stick. Dhoni survives. A four and a dot to end the over. 16 needed in 12 balls.

22:50 (IST)

Rayudu picks up the slow ball by Sid Kaul and hits it over cover for a much-needed boundary.

22:46 (IST)

After 17 overs,Chennai Super Kings 113/4 ( Ambati Rayudu 4 , MS Dhoni (C) (W) 2)

MS Dhoni is not the same finisher as he was two years back and he's also struggling for runs. Can he take his team home tonight? It will be a massive boost for CSK. Rayudu finds the gap in the backward point region and collects two runs. Four off Bhuvi's over. CSK need 22 runs in last three overs.

22:43 (IST)

After 16 overs,Chennai Super Kings 109/4 ( Ambati Rayudu 1 , MS Dhoni (C) (W) 1)

Holder starts off with a short ball, Raina gently pulls it towards fine-leg for one run. Holder then bowls a yorker to Faf who flicks it to leg-side for one more run. Raina's dismissal brings Ambati Rayudu into the middle and he's off the mark with a single to third man. Another wicket and this time it's Faf who walks back to the pavilion. Superb stuff by Holder and it looks like SRH might still have a chance in this match. MS Dhoni is the new batsman. The required run-rate is now above six.

22:40 (IST)

Another wicket! Short, Faf tries to play the big shot, gets a top edge and the catch is taken near the crease. du Plessis c S Kaul b Holder 41(36)

22:37 (IST)

LBW!

Holder strikes! Fuller ball, Raina misses his flick and there's no doubt about this one. The batsman doesn't take the review. Raina lbw b Holder 2(3)

22:34 (IST)

After 15 overs,Chennai Super Kings 105/2 ( Faf du Plessis 40 , Suresh Raina 1)

Rashid's final over and it's a successful one for SRH. Three dots and then he gets rid of Moeen Ali. Suresh Raina is the new batsman and he's off the mark for a single. Just one run and a wicket. CSK need 30 runs in 30 balls.

22:31 (IST)

Bowled!

A quicker one by Rashid, Moeen goes back into the crease and tries to place it on the leg-side but the ball hits the leg and crashes the stumps. Moeen Ali b Rashid Khan 17(17)

22:27 (IST)

After 14 overs,Chennai Super Kings 103/1 (Faf du Plessis 40 , Moeen Ali 17)

Holder bowls a slower ball, full and on the stumps, Faf plays the scoop and takes two runs. The next ball is short, Faf pulls, it's in the air but over mid-wicket. The two runs also brings up the 100 for CSK. The dew is making it really tough for the fielding side. A dot and then a slow low full-toss, Faf flicks and takes one run. Moeen to keep strike after single off the last ball and umpire signals timeout.

22:22 (IST)

After 13 overs,Chennai Super Kings 97/1 ( Faf du Plessis 35 , Moeen Ali 16)

Sandeep then bowls a low full-toss, Moeen drives into the gap but Rashid runs from deep point to stop the ball. Two more for the batsman. A single down to long-off to end the over. Eight off the over. CSK need 45 runs in 48 balls with nine wickets in hand.

22:13 (IST)

After 11 overs,Chennai Super Kings 83/1 ( Faf du Plessis 32 , Moeen Ali 5)

Ruturaj would've been really happy with his fifty but once again he gave a good a start to his team and they are now in a very comfortable position. Moeen Ali is the new batsman and he's off the mark straightaway with a single. du Plessis pulls, the ball is into the gap but the fielder cuts it off so two for the batsman. Siddarth Kaul is introduced into the attack. He starts off with two dots and then Ruturaj flicks towards deep square to get off strike. CSK go past the 50-run mark with the six straight down the ground by Faf. A boundary to end the over. The required run-rate is now below six.

21:57 (IST)

Short and wide, Faf drive it through cover for a boundary. Runs flowing for CSK.

21:56 (IST)

Fuller ball Siddarth, Faf hits it straight down the ground and clears the rope.

21:52 (IST)

After 6 overs,Chennai Super Kings 47/0 ( Ruturaj Gaikwad 31 , Faf du Plessis 15)

After the four and a six, Ruturaj misses his sweep and the umpire raises his hand after an LBW appeal. Ruturaj doesn't think so and quickly takes the review. He's right as the ball kisses the glove before hitting the leg. Rashid concedes 11 runs in his first over and that's the end of powerplay. Timeout taken.

21:48 (IST)

Wow! Ruturaj steps up and hits the ball over Rashid's head for a six.

21:48 (IST)

Ruturaj goes for the sweep against Rashid, doesn't get good connection as the top edge takes the ball to the boundary.

21:47 (IST)

After 5 overs,Chennai Super Kings 36/0 ( Ruturaj Gaikwad 20 , Faf du Plessis 15)

Both Faf and Ruturaj are in good form and they are particularly good when it comes to boundary shots. They are aware of the field and they execute their big hits really well. Another costly over for SRH, Holder goes for nine runs. CSK need another 99 runs in 90 balls.

21:45 (IST)

Faf comes down the pitch and lofts it over bowler's head.

21:43 (IST)

Fuller delivery, on the stumps by Holder, Faf plays it straight down the ground.

21:42 (IST)

After 4 overs,Chennai Super Kings 27/0 ( Ruturaj Gaikwad 19 , Faf du Plessis 7)

Gaikwad steps to Bhuvi, whips the ball over mid-wicket but slow outfield ensures it doesn't reach the boundary, two runs for the batsman. Buvi then bowls a good yorker as Gaikwad blocks it. The bowler goes wrong with his length and Gaikwad punishes him with a six over deep mid-wicket. One more six, this time by Faf, to end the over. 15 off the over. Few decent balls but two bad ones went for maximum runs.

21:41 (IST)

Favourite Faf du Plessis shot. Makes little room and whacks the ball over long-on. Costly over by Bhuvi.

21:39 (IST)

Shot! Gaikwad charges ahead against Bhuvi and clears the deep mid-wicket.

21:37 (IST)

After 3 overs,Chennai Super Kings 12/0 ( Ruturaj Gaikwad 10 , Faf du Plessis 1)

Sandeep does well after conceding the boundary off the first ball. Tight light and length to force two dots and then Gaikwad flicks to the leg-side for one run. Faf gets an inside edge against a slower one, the ball, luckily, hits the pads. A drive straight to the cover fielder for no run and that's the end of the over.

21:34 (IST)

Nicely done. Ruturaj backs away and hits it over mid-off against Sandeep.

21:33 (IST)

After 2 overs,Chennai Super Kings 7/0 ( Ruturaj Gaikwad 5 , Faf du Plessis 1)

Bhuvneshwar into the attack. The first ball is outside off stump, slight movement as Gaikwad lets it go to the keeper. Gaikwad then plays and misses a good length ball outside off stump. A single for the batsman and then two dots against Faf du Plessis to finish the over. Good stuff by Bhuvi.

21:29 (IST)

After 1 overs,Chennai Super Kings 5/0 ( Ruturaj Gaikwad 4 , Faf du Plessis 1)

Sandeep generates swing, the first ball comes back in as Gaikwad blocks. The batsman is off the mark in the next ball, a flick to deep square for one run. Faf cuts, gets a thick edge but there's no slip as Bhuvneshwar cuts off the ball near third man boundary so just one run. Sandeep then bowls short and wide, Gaikwad finds the gap on the off-side and collects three runs.

21:24 (IST)

Time for the chase. Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad are out in the middle. Gaikwad takes strike against Sandeep Sharma.

21:10 (IST)

After 20 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 134/7 ( Rashid Khan 17 , Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2)

CSK restrict SRH to 134/7! A decent last over from Chahar, concedes just a single boundary. The slower one was picked up early by Rashid and lapped over short fine leg. There is a slower bouncer and a yorker as well. The yorker is off the last ball, Rashid stays in his crease and looks to flick but gets an outside edge to short third man for a single. Chahar surprisingly opts for a review but replays show it came off the bat. There are just four singles and a dot off the rest five. 8 runs off the final over.

21:06 (IST)

FOUR! That's what he's been trying to do for a long time. Slower on middle and leg, Rashid gets down and ramps it over short fine leg.

21:05 (IST)

Deepak Chahar to bowl the final over....

Live Score SRH vs CSK, IPL 2021, Today's Match: Siddarth Kaul starts off with a good bouncer, it's one for the over.

Preview: Sunrisers Hyderabad are at the bottom of the IPL 2021 league table with just two wins from 10 matches. But their last win also came in their last match as they defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets.

The defeat caused a serious dent to RR's hopes of qualifying for the playoffs and while SRH are virtually out of the Play-off race their return to form means their opponents need to be wary of the damage Kane Williamson's side can do to their chances.

SRH vs CSK Live Streaming: When and where to watch Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings Live on TV and online IPL 2021. Sportzpics

They face Chennai Super Kings on Thursday at Sharjah. The MS Dhoni-led side have 16 points from 10 matches and are almost guaranteed a playoffs spot but a defeat against SRH could spoil their plans of finishing on the top of the league table.

CSK come into the match after securing a last-ball win against Kolkata Knight Riders. In fact, the team from Chennai are on a three-game winning streak and will enter the match as the favourites. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis have been scoring consistent runs for the franchise, but they will love to see Suresh Raina and Dhoni return to form with the bat.

Dwayne Bravo was rested during the last match and his replacement Sam Curran proved to be extremely expensive with the ball. So, we could see Bravo returning to the team and that should strengthen the lower-order that also boasts the like of Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur. Apart from Curran's expensive spell against KKR, there doesn't seem to be any other major worry for CSK in the bowling department.

SRH dropped David Warner in their last match against RR as debutant Jason Roy struck a timely half-century to help Hyderabad break the losing streak. Siddharth Kaul took two wickets on his return and Abhishek Sharma scored 21 valuable runs from lower-order in Hyderabad's win.

The Orange Army are expected to stick with the same team as Warner's time at the franchise seems to have come to an end.

Glenn Maxwell hit his second successive half-century to fire Royal Challengers Bangalore to a convincing seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League in Dubai on Wednesday.

The Australian batting all-rounder made an unbeaten 50 off 30 deliveries as Bangalore chased down their victory target of 150 in 17.1 overs in the Twenty20 tournament.

Bowlers set up the team's second straight win with paceman Harshal Patel taking three wickets and spinners Shahbaz Ahmed and Yuzvendra Chahal claiming two each to restrict Rajasthan to 149-9.

Virat Kohli's Bangalore stay third in the eight-team table, led by Chennai Super Kings, and eye a strong league finish in their bid for a maiden title.

Kohli, who hit 25, and Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 22, started briskly for the opening wicket to lay the foundation for the chase.

Srikar Bharat (44) and Maxwell put on a third-wicket stand of 69 to take the attack to the opposition bowlers despite Bangladesh left-arm quick Mustafizur Rahman striking twice.

Bharat fell short of his fifty but Maxwell, who made a match-winning 56 in the previous game, completed his 50 with two straight boundaries.

Earlier, Royals collapsed from a comfortable 100-1 in 11 overs to 117-5 with debutant left-arm quick George Garton sending back Evin Lewis for 56 and Ahmed striking twice in his first over.

Chahal also struck twice to return impressive figures of 2-18 from his four overs of leg spin and was named man of the match.

Patel, who got a hat-trick in his team's previous win, rattled the middle and lower order and struck on successive deliveries.

Royals, winners of the inaugural edition in 2008, are seventh in the table.

One off Perry’s fourth over of the innings, with Mandhana nicking another single, this time in the penultimate ball of the over. She has moved to 17 with Shafali currently on 4.

10:29 (IST)

Just the one run collected off Darcie Brown’s third over of the day, with Smriti Mandhana collecting a single at the start of the over, as Shafali continues to block the deliveries away.

10:28 (IST)

Maiden over, the first of the innings so far, as Shafali Verma remains defensive at her crease with Perry bowling a tight one to the feisty opener.

10:21 (IST)

Tidy over from Darcie, with just one coming off it, as Verma collects a single in the fourth delivery of the over.

10:20 (IST)

Now Perry concedes a boundary too, as Mandhana works the ball towards the fine leg fence off the penultimate delivery of this over to collect her third boundary. Shafali, meanwhile, nearly got caught in the slips in the previous delivery.

10:18 (IST)

Darcie Brown shares the new ball with Ellyse Perry, and she’s off to an expensive start as Mandhana collects two boundaries in three balls to really get the innings going in full steam. 10 off her first over of the match.

10:17 (IST)

TOSS: Australia win the toss, and skipper Meg Lanning opts to bowl

09:56 (IST)

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the historic pink-ball Test between Australia and India at the Metricon Stadium in Gold Coast, Queensland. India and Australia renew their rivalry once again for the first time since 2006, and India are playing their second Test in a matter of months after not having played one for seven years.

Lest we forget, this is only the second pink-ball Test in the history of the women's game, although the Aussies will have the advantage of some experience, having played the inaugural one against England in 2017.

Australia Women Vs India Women, pink-ball Test Live Cricket Score Updates: Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma get the innings underway after Australia opt to bat

One-off Test Preview: India gear up for a historic first on Thursday when they take on a formidable Australian team in their own backyard in what will be their maiden appearance in a day-night Test.

The Indian team had only recently played their first Test in seven years when they toured England earlier this summer, the likes of Shafali Verma and Sneh Rana producing standout performances with the bat to help the visiting team earn a hard-fought draw against the Heather Knight-led team in Bristol.

A little over two months later, the team will be up for a fresh challenge — facing the pink ball under lights on the greenish surface at Gold Coast's Metricon Stadium against a team whose status as the number one team across formats has rarely been challenged in recent years, much less so on their own turf.

Australia captain Meg Lanning (L) and India's skipper Mithali Raj (R) before the pink-ball Test. Image: Twitter/CricketComAu

What India will seek inspiration from, however, is the fight they produced in the one-day international series against Meg Lanning and company. After getting outplayed by nine wickets in the series opener, Mithali Raj's side produced an admirable fightback in the next two games, taking the fight till the very last over on both occasions. While they suffered a last-ball heartbreak in the second one-dayer that saw a plenty of drama occurring over a waist-high no-ball from Jhulan Goswami, the Indians fought back hard in the final ODI to not only collect their first points of the multi-format tour, but end the Aussies' 26-match winning streak in the 50-over format that had stretched all the way back to October 2017.

On the eve of the landmark match, which will also be the first time India and Australia face each other in a women's Test since 2006, we bring to you everything you need to know as far as the match's live coverage is concerned:

When will the day-night Test between Australia and India take place?

The one-off day-night Test between Australia and India will take place between Thursday, 30 September and Sunday, 3 October.

Where will the day-night Test between Australia and India be played?

The day-night Test between Australia and India will be played at the Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast, Queensland.

What time will the match begin?

The day-night Test between Australia and India will begin at 11.30 am IST. The toss will take place at 11 am IST on the opening day.

Which TV channels will broadcast the match?

The day-night Test between Australia and India will be telecast on SONY SIX & SONY SIX HD. The match will also be live-streamed on SONY LIV. You can also catch the live updates on firstpost.com.

23:27 (IST)

Another terrific bowling performance from RCB and another vital win. With 14 points, the Virat Kohli side are within touching distance of the playoffs. Hope you enjoyed for coverage. That's all from our side for today. Bye bye!

23:25 (IST)

Yuzvendra Chahal: "In the first half of IPL, I didn't bowl well in the three-four matches. I bowled well in the SL series and got my confidence back. I am using it here."

23:23 (IST)

Yuzvendra Chahal is the Player of the Match for his 2/18.

23:21 (IST)

Virat Kohli: "We have come back strongly in two games with the ball and it is a great sign. We know if you can hold your nerve with the ball you're going in the right direction. In both games the opponents were 56/0 in the powerplay, but in both games we took wickets to ensure the opposition does not get away. In batting also, we have got a few good opening starts. Devdutt and I have been focused on giving the team good starts so that middle-order with AB, Bharat and Maxwell can make more. Boys have stepped up, so that's been key for us."

23:06 (IST)

Sanju Samson: "We got a great start but couldn't capitalise. We went in with intent, also the wicket was two-paced and our batters kept mistiming it. Our middle order needs some confidence. Need to keep on believing and fighting till the last match."

23:03 (IST)

RCB beat RR by seven wickets with 17 balls to spare!

Rajasthan only dominated the first 11 overs of this match. Their openers gave them a rocking start but once Bangalore bowers started striking there was no coming back. Rajasthan were restricted to 149/9 and it has been chased down easily by RCB with Maxwell making an unbeaten fifty. S Bharat also scored a useful 44 off 35. RCB now have 14 points.

23:01 (IST)

After 17 overs,Royal Challengers Bangalore 149/3 ( Glenn Maxwell 50 , AB de Villiers 0)

Just one more needed. Morris has been completely destroyed by Maxwell in this over who gets to his fifty in 30 balls. One length ball was pulled over cow corner for six. Another pulled to fine leg for a four. A top edge got a four through third man and a cracking drive down the ground for third four of the over.

22:58 (IST)

Maxwell crashes one down the ground for a four and completes his fifty! He is taking RCB home in a jiffy.

22:58 (IST)

Another four for Maxwell! He wanted to pull but the top edge flew toward the third man fence.

22:57 (IST)

Short ball, into the body and Maxwell swivels to direct it to the fine leg fence.

22:56 (IST)

Length ball from Morris has been dispatched over midwicket by Maxwell.

22:56 (IST)

After 16 overs,Royal Challengers Bangalore 127/3 ( Glenn Maxwell 28 , AB de Villiers 0)

Mustafizur strike again for RR. There are no easy wins in IPL and RR are trying their best to make a game from here. RCB got four singles before Bharat got out on last ball playing a pull shot. The ball skidded through as the fine leg fielder took the catch. 23 in 24 needed.

22:52 (IST)

WICKET!

Srikar Bharat c Lomror b Mustafizur Rahman 44 (35)

Bharat played so well so far but he's gone trying to play a pull shot. The ball kept rising on him and he was never in control as the fine leg fielder took the catch.

22:48 (IST)

After 15 overs,Royal Challengers Bangalore 123/2 ( Srikar Bharat (W) 42 , Glenn Maxwell 26)

Sakariya has been called back. From over the wicket the angle on the first ball was in Maxwell's favour as the batter launched a slog towards extra cover for a boundary. Strike given to Bharat with a push to long-on. Bharat collects a double and single before the over finishes. 27 in 30 needed.

22:44 (IST)

Easy for Maxwell! Sakariya from over the wicket provided Maxwell the angle and he went over cover for a four.

22:43 (IST)

After 14 overs,Royal Challengers Bangalore 115/2 ( Srikar Bharat (W) 39 , Glenn Maxwell 21)

First ball from Tewatia is pushed to long-off by Maxwell for a single. Bharat responds with a single to cover as the duo brings up its 50-run partnership. Maxwell slogs the next ball to long-on for one. Boundary for Bharat now with a reverse lap against a fuller ball. Two more singles on the next two balls. 35 off 36 needed.

22:42 (IST)

Fuller delivery outside off from Tewatia has been reverse swept to the third man fence by Bharat.

22:38 (IST)

After 13 overs,Royal Challengers Bangalore 106/2 ( Srikar Bharat (W) 33 , Glenn Maxwell 18)

Big over this for RCB! Bharat got a maximum with a massive slog sweep to backward square leg and RCB got 11 from the over. Equation: 44 from 42 balls.

22:35 (IST)

What a huge shot! Bharat gets onto his knees and slog sweeps this Morris delivery into the deep backward square leg stands.

22:32 (IST)

After 12 overs,Royal Challengers Bangalore 95/2 ( Srikar Bharat (W) 24 , Glenn Maxwell 16)

Bharat starts the Lomror over with a four. Steps out and places his shot between long-on and long-off. Four more singles from the over and a wide. RR need a breakthrough here. 55 needed from 8 overs.

22:30 (IST)

Good shot, Bharat! Skips down and tonks the ball over the bowler's head between long-off and long-on.

22:29 (IST)

RR vs RCB Preview: Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 43 of IPL 2021 on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

While RCB are in a strong position to qualify for the playoffs, another defeat for RR could severely dent their chances to reach the knockout.

Currently, Bangalore are placed third in the league table with 12 points (six wins out of 10) and come into the game after beating defending champions Mumbai Indians. After Kohli and Glenn Maxwell struck fifties, Harshal Patel shone with the ball with a hat-trick as hapless MI succumbed to a 54-run defeat.

Live IPL Score Updates RR vs RCB IPL 2021 When and where to watch Live Streaming, Rajasthan Royals VS Royal Challengers Bangalore

Kohli and Maxwell have done the bulk of scoring for RCB and the team will hope for increased contributions from Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers as we approach the business end of the tournament. Yuzvendra Chahal's recent form with the ball must have brought added confidence to the management.

RR, on the other hand, are sixth in the league table with eight points and four wins from 10 matches. They lost their previous match by seven wickets as bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad finally broke their losing streak.

Samson's 82 off 57 helped RR made 164/5 batting first but it could have been a lot more. After Samson's dismissal, RR failed to find a single boundary in the last 17 balls of their innings. RR's batting has been far too inconsistent. Their bowling against SRH was also not up to the mark. Team will look to improve in both departments.
